What it does

SmartComm Help finds SmartComm knowledge-base articles, returns customer-safe Markdown for normal answers, and opens a polished rich article view for walkthroughs with screenshots, embedded or downloadable quick-start guides, and related reading.

The service is intentionally read-only. It does not create users, change portal settings, publish content, or send messages.

How to use it

In ChatGPT developer mode or Claude custom connectors, connect to https://help.smartcomm.io/mcp. Once connected, ask normal SmartComm questions in plain English. For visual walkthroughs, ask to open or show the article.

• related_kb_articles and list_kb_topics help users explore adjacent documentation.

Boundaries and safety

• No authentication is required because this public surface is documentation-only.
• Responses are sanitized to avoid raw vendor source URLs, local storage paths, and hidden admin-config internals.
• External links are limited to declared SmartComm/Grid4 destinations.
• AI answers should still be reviewed before customer-impacting changes.
