SmartComm Help is a read-only documentation connector operated by Grid4 Communications. It helps AI clients retrieve SmartComm help articles, related topics, and optional rendered documentation views.
The connector receives only the tool input sent by the connected AI client, such as a search query, article reference, corpus filter, or result limit. It does not require a SmartComm user login, does not request customer account credentials, and does not provide tools that create, update, delete, publish, or send data.
Tool inputs are used to retrieve documentation from the packaged SmartComm knowledge corpus. The application does not intentionally store prompts, chat transcripts, or end-user conversation history. Azure hosting and security logs may retain request metadata such as timestamps, endpoint paths, response status, and network metadata for operations, reliability, and abuse prevention.
The connector returns documentation content to the AI client selected by the user, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or another MCP-compatible client. Grid4 does not sell connector usage data.
Documentation content is retained as part of the SmartComm Help service. Operational logs are retained according to Grid4 hosting and security practices.
